The music in this is soooo very powerful, and the storyline is simply magical. You have two lives that briefly intersect only to have outside circumstances tear them apart. The byproduct is a young boy, August, who was literally bred for music. Having never touched an instrument in his eleven years of life, he is a natural. The music calls to him. Fate takes August on a journey that is solely meant for him. No matter how badly things fall down around August, he is always somehow okay because he follows the music.
This movie literally gave me goose bumps all over my body multiple times.
This is a definite keeper.
Favorite Lines: · I believe in music the way that some people believe in fairy tales. · Do you know what music is? It’s God’s little reminder there’s something else besides us in this universe. Harmonic connection between all living beings everywhere, even the stars.
I know this is just a movie. That being said, I truly believe that when people follow their passion and let go… things just magically fall into place.
