Miss Potter - DVD Review
I thought this was a splendid movie that was full of enchantment and imagination. Many people may
see it as slow but I absolutely loved it.

I loved the whole mother versus father aspect. I loved the hardheadedness of Beatrix in her pursuit to
live life as she saw fit regardless of social pressures/expectations. What about the friend she found in
Millie?

I mean, this movie gave me feel good warm fuzzies throughout its duration.

Not to mention that she is the best selling children’s author of all time; my dad read her books to me
and Angie. Oh wait… she was a preservationist as well. I mean, the woman was incredible.

Beautiful scenery, too. It was filmed in London, Sussex, Isle of Man, Scotland, Whitehaven in Cumbria,
and The Lake District.

I have to add that I love Renee Zellweger. I think I love her so much because she is a little crazy and I
mean that in the highest regard. I tend to like the actresses that are a little different off-screen. Their
uniqueness tends to come through on-screen as well.

Renee Zellweger as Beatrix Potter
Ewan McGregor as Norman Warne
Emily Watson as Millie Warne
