The Contract - DVD Review
I picked this up off the shelf because it had John Cusack and Morgan Freeman on the cover. I love
them both. I didn’t even read the back cover.

John Cusack in Better Off Dead. “I want my two dollars!” Like, one of the best movies ever.

Note… The new actor, Jamie Anderson, did a fabulous job.

It’s mysterious because you don’t really know what’s going on. It grabs you out of the gate. I’m a little
partial because it takes place in Washington State and it soooo makes me what to be home. There’s
lots of nasty, really dark, rainy footage which doesn’t really represent the N.W. However, it works well
with the plot.

Later, it got sunny. It made me want to hike and pick blueberries or chanterelle’s. The tree trunks
looked really small for the Northwest, though. It must have been filmed somewhere that logging was
done.

Very twisty… you can’t decide which side to take.

I didn’t like the one-liners.

It was filmed in Spokane, and Cheney. A special thanks went out to Beck’s beer which makes it my
kinda movie. HA!

You know, I have to say it. A lot of New Yorkers think Washingtonians are hicks. Washingtonians think
Louisianans are hicks. Louisianans think Kentuckians are hicks. This isn’t an exact science… it’s just
an example. Everyone thinks someone else is a hick.

I’m the Kentuckian hick that sits on my back porch whenever it rains because it takes me back to my
hick hometown of Washington. HA!

If there was ever a hick in number two bottom, Kentucky… well, that would be me.

Insert a smile and a wink here.

***This actually didn't get very good reviews so maybe I'm partial because of where it was filmed.
