I was introduced to The Smiths by Jimmy. I wasn’t really a fan prior to Jimmy. The Smiths are one of my favorite groups to this day. I love Morrissey.
Many people hear The Smiths and find their music melancholy. That may be so; however, I find that they have something important to say. Their lyrics are typically deep and sometimes slightly funny, like Girlfriend in a Coma.
I wrote the majority of part one of the novel when I was listening to The Smiths. Â They had a Morrissey/Smiths weekend on Sirius and I tuned in and wrote for pretty much two days straight.
